I loved ReGina's book! I could relate as she talked about being "different". I have always been just a little different from most people I know. I found my self saying "yeah" as I read chapter after chapter. I discovered in the pages that there is a power in being different and mostly that being different is not just okay but it can be great.
ReGina writes in a down to earth straight forward way. The book is interactive as well. At the end of each chapter she has a "Portal to Change", where she asks a question or two of the reader. There is room to write your thoughts on these pages. As you get deeper into the book she asks questions that help you get in touch with who you are. Reading this book and doing the exercises is like taking a course.
In one of her chapters she says, "In order to embrace our uniqueness, nurturing ourselves is about knowing ourselves and our body, knowing what makes us feel good, makes us feel comfortable, knowing what's acceptable and not, knowing what it is our body, spirit and mind need in order to feel good and allowing ourselves to receive it.....It's about honoring and respecting our needs and ourselves....Remember-there is more than one truth and what's right for you might not be right for the person next to you."
